Increasing my visuals and use of academic language in the classroom is always a focus for teachers. To help support my language learners I created cute horizontal and vertical art supplies!
I also impulsively added a photo bombing Bob Ross to my side window that is double sided. Lots of jumping students in the hallway gives me a good laugh.

So as most teachers know, classroom visuals are essential in every classroom, but with the help of my TAs and a couple of my exceptional students we went overboard with some fantastic pieces! So in an effort to be more accessible online, and support fellow art educators in bringing relevant and rigorous, I have started posting resources on Teachers Pay Teachers. Currently I have 6 resources ranging in a daily activity to several week long units! All of these have cross curricular elements to English, and Math! A huge success! For this last unit, students worked in teams of 3-4 to create original recycled high fashion outfits. They were required to make a top, bottom, and accessories and have an overall theme for their design. Students presented their work in front of their peers at a school wide rally. Very proud of all of their hard work! |
